Not sure this terrace is classed as Norton Road? I think the Lambton Castle is No.1 High Street.
Which would make the old Talbot/No 9’s building be No.9 High Street.
Photograph apparently taken from the 1st floor windows of the Maxwells Corner buildings , looking toward the High Street the corner-towers of Victoria Buildings being just evident in the distant background. The premises within the terrace (No 9 Norton Road) directly behind the centre tram, were demolished to make way for the large and very elegant ‘Talbot’ public house and hotel. As the caption states, apart from that, this section of Norton Road remains very much the same.
