These men were all members of the Stockton Cycling Club. It is interesting that the Castle and Anchor symbol is used in the image, I presume this was the town crest at some time or the symbol of the club when it first became a club (1878), maybe the people who visit this site will know…

Hi, I think I tried to contact you previously about S.C.C. I have the Vice Captains Badge from 1878 and was wondering if you had any information on the members from that period. I am interested to see if it came down to my friend from a family member or just something his grandfather collected.
There are 2 Meet badges dated 1940 for the North Yorkshire and South Durham CC. Any information on either would be appreciated. Thank you.
The Castle & Anchor was/is the town crest. It can be seen on the exterior of the Town Hall – see picture posted 12/3/2013.
