These two photographs show a hospital ward in Stockton and Thornaby hospital. Shown on these photographs is Florence Walker later Spence who was a nurse at this hospital for many years. Florence Spence is standing at the back on the left in the first photograph and again on the left in the second c1915

I lived in the hospital with my family in a flat near the nurses residences in the late 1960s and early 1970s. My father was a senior registrar in surgery there under Mr Travers.
