I was part of a team that registed a charity “Stockton Anchorage” to use the building for training young school leavers, by employing the skilled labour forces, either retired or unemployed. As the young were in a catch twenty two situation. No job, no experience, no experience, no job.
Did get it up and running, ran for a number of years I believe, not including me though, as I moved away.
Let’s hope these building don’t go the same way as so many other lovely examples from our town…..
