In the available 19thC. trade-directories for Yarm, a family called ‘Reed’ makes regular appearances as ‘Corn Millers’. This building (now offices) may possibly have belonged to them and lays close to what was the Tees Mill, which was situated on the banks of the Tees which lays just at the end of Mill Wynd. Perhaps this was a warehouse used for storing the sacks of flour? Just across the High St (opp Mill Wynd) at No 17,there is a large 18thC.granary building to the rear which is also currently used as offices.

Believe this building is occupied by Elder Lester McGregor Architects and they refer to it as Reed’s Mill in their address.
