  1. The house on the corner with Leven Road belonged to ”Matty” Dobson who had the garage in Yarm opposite the Catholic Church, known as ”Dobsons Corner”

  2. Travelling uphill towards what we now know as the Kirklevington roundabout, a house on the corner of Leven Road can just be seen in the distance. The wall on the left belongs to The Friarage (now Yarm School) the ancient site of a monastery and the hospital (Spital) provided by the Black Friars until 1583.
