Many of you may remember my sister Joan Barber licensee of the American Tavern in Mill Street and her husband Geoff. These photographs show Joan doing a ‘Great Sleep In’ in aid of Muscular Dystrophy in the Debenhams window during the early 1970s.

Unfortunately Geoff & Joan have passed away after many happy years in The Village Inn in Brompton nr Northallerton – Peter Beardsworth, brother
