  1. Yes a much appreciated snippet of information for those who acknowledge all those who fought and fell that we may still have the freedom to exist as we see fit and are able to vote as we see fit.
    My brother was in the D.L.I. for several years, I remember cycling from Stockton to Brancepeth near Durham and visiting him and my Dear Sister-in-Law that was, in their married quarters.
    Not a great many years after that it was disbanded.

  2. Private John William Dixon was in A Company 5th Battalion Durham Light Infantry and went to Flanders with the Battalion April 1915.
