William John Johnston, son of Ellen and Robert Johnston of Whitwell Street, Thornaby seen here at the age of 18. I believe he served on HMS Birmingham during the Great War.

I wonder if he is related to my uncle Kenneth Johnston Craggs? I think that there is some connection between the Johnston and Craggs families but I’m not sure how!
