This is my Father Ken Heslop marching in the Home Guard Marching Band, far left front Stockton High Street during early 1940’s, not sure of the exact year..
My Father was a councilor from 1954 to 1957, when he emigrated to Canada.

Hi Sue, hows it going, hope everyone is healthy & well as we are, apart for the things that come with seniority nothing serious tho.
I thought your dad was an accordion player, probably don’t have accordions in marching bands eh!
He used to play in my dad’s pub on a weekend to make a few bob.
Love uncle Mike
Hi Mike, doing well thanks! Yes he played the accordion as well, I have a great picture of him doing that. If you’re on Facebook I did a pictorial of my trip to Scapa Flow for the 75th Memorial of HMS Royal Oak.
