Did holiday work at Parkfield in the 1970s. Always fascinated by the skills and craftsmanship on display in the pattern shop and indeed in moulding. Wasn’t one of the ‘Park’s’ last big jobs iron segments for use in the construction of the Channel Tunnel?
My father, Jimmy Brennan was the TGWU union man for the foundry in late 70’s, the 8271 branch.
