Cecil Jack and Band c1950

t12954I’m not sure where this photograph was taken, possibly one of the dance halls in Stockton, but it shows my dad, Cecil Jack (centre) playing the saxophone. After leaving the Royal Navy, he took up a clerical job so that he was able to continue playing with his band.

  1. Yes I recall Mr and Mrs Jackson lived at Newtown we were next door neighbours, I remember Mr Jackson practicing the saxophone clearly through the wall often, I was at Newtown Primary School at the time that was the 1940s.
