Many thanks Alec for these lovely shots. Stockton has a great deal to be proud of despite the mistakes of redevelopment. Th reindeer on The Shambles is impressive and the riverside images are rather picturesque. As the lead photo shows “Stockton Sparkles” and long may it continue to do so.

Is this Christmas tree still “A gift from the people of Norway”? This is what I recall was the arrangement in the 1950s.
