The Yorkshire Regiment Soldiers as they march down Church Road and Stockton High Street to celebrate their Freedom of the Borough. The Freedom of Stockton was first granted to The Yorkshire Regiment on 8 July 2009 and today the young men of the 2nd Battalion carry with them the pride and responsibility of representing their county and their local communities.
Building on 330 years of operational history, today’s Yorkshire Regiment remains the only county regiment in the British Army.
My son is still serving with the Yorkshire Regiment. He joined when it was still the Green Howards and he is due out in the next couple of years.
