The oil tanker London Enterprise with a gross tonnage of 10776 was built at Haverton Hill shipyard by North Eastern Marine and owned by London & Overseas Freighters Ltd. The keel was laid on 18th December 1950 and the ship was launched on 26th February 1952.
I wonder if this is the same company my father worked for. He was an engineer in 1962/3 and sailed on the London Revolution and the the London Valour. He went twice to Japan on the oil tankers named, I know that one of the ships sank in the Indian Oceanbthat he had previously sailed on.
