The building on the other side of the roundabout is the Northern Dairies complex. I remember it being built in the late forties. I also recollect it being demolished around 2000. The factories that were built on the Bailey Street and Portrack side of Church Road, that were of the same vintage, seem to have survived, however. I suppose Northern Dairies was too specialised to be converted to other uses
Dear Billy
we will have to differ, but I did see it getting built and then passed it on my way to the town and Richard Hind school. From 1953 to 59. So I am sure its original owner was Northern Dairies
Does this help the identification of the dairy? Looks like Northern sold it to the Co-op in 1942

Ok Fred. We will have to differ. Also we would be less than 8 years old. I don’t remember it being built.

Dear Fred. On picture Stockton archive you will see a post dated July 19 2013 which clearly shows the dairy as Co-op.
