Yep the school i went to as we lived then on Maritime Road. My friends mother used the clean the Church Hall next to it and the other entrance to Pickerings Lifts was opposite our house on Maritime Road.
On the extreme left edge of the photograph, in the far distance is the main Pickerings Lifts office entrance on Station Road, where I went to the work in the drawing department.
Indeed! It must have been taken on Station Street, you can see down Station Street on the left, down to the Globe Elevator Works (Pickerings Lifts). The buildings on the right being St Mary’s Primary School, on the other side of Maritime Road.

It’s just off Maritime Road, in Stockton. The buildings to the right of the photo are here: https://goo.gl/maps/YEiz3doipi33NXUU9
