I recently came across a scrapbook my nana and grandad Ernest (Ernie) and Margaret (Madge) Temple had/were given from the 1960s when he was the Mayor of Stockton. The scrapbook contains lots of photos from dinners, charity events, meet and greets as well as invites. Here are just a few…
Photographs and details courtesy of Michael Temple.

Hi, I received a life saving award from Mr Temple summer 1963 at Tilery school with 3 mate’s, we had all recently left Tilery boys school, me Christmas 1962, me and my mate’s tried for a very long time to find the body of a young child who drowned in local clay pit, it was a very sad time for all.
Seeing your posting of Mr Temple made me wonder if local news paper took any photo’s from that day Mr Temple give us our certificates.
All the best.
A couple of pictures here showing my great uncle Victor Clough and his wife Agnes ( Buchanan) . Victor was Mayor of Stockton in 1961/62
Victor Clough was an insurance man who collected round the Gas works area.
They must be Pete Temple’s Mam and Dad he was a good friend who I knew from Richard Hind Juniors and a close friend all through Grammar School.I remember him being a good footballer.
It is the same Peter Temple who was married to Barbara Fishburn, who did he play football for?
Not sure as once we left school we lost touch as I lived at Parkfield and he lived near Grangefield School.
