These photographs were taken atop the Tower of St Peter’s Church on Yarm Road one overcast evening in 1983, they show the views looking north along Yarm Road, north east with the rear of Dennison Street in the foreground and north west towards Cranbourne Terrace (and ‘Hendo’s).

Thanks for these, my gt granddad Thomas Dickinson was a Verger at St. Peter’s, the family resided for many years across the street at #1 Dennison, now changed to #23 I believe.
If only my husband could see these. He was so proud to be born and lived on St Peters road.
His family had a shop there as well ,and both him and his nephew grew up there. Peter Lofthouse my husband sisters son use to be in the choir. Stories my husband told me was so funny about growing up there. A true Stockton on tees Guy through and though xxx Geoffrey Ayre.
