Thanks to all the peoples involved with the good wishes for my birthday there are not many left who would remember me from my Teesside days, it is nice to be remembered.
Have followed Ben’s comments over the years, though we never met – his upbringing in Hawthorne Road, his football and cricket in Stockton, his football in South Africa and Australia. Always interesting reads, a true sportsman! Happy Birthday Ben!

Happy Birthday Ben, he was a well known footballer & cricketer, at football he scored 111 goals for South Bank Juniors in season 1951/52 & was only second to Eddie (Kitty Coyte) Wilkinson both Stockton lads, Ben also played at Hereford United.
