  1. St Cutberts Billingham – The North side of the tower has a Saxon grave-cover belived 9th c, incororated in its structure. Approx 30ft up at the point where main Church roof apex joins Tower (N.E Corner) A Saxon interlace carved block depicts a Mythical dog and bird fighting
