My Husband”s great grandfather John G Parkinson was a photographer for A & G Taylor in Stockton, around mid 1800″s onwards. Does anybody have anything of his work?
Hi, Yes I do a photograph of my Grandmothers sister Eleanor M Adams, taken in 1880 at the age of 2yrs father was a ship’s captain , the family emigrated to NZ in 1885.
Dear Janet Macik, I am sorry to tell you that the old gentleman on the right of the picture is my grandfather Thomas Jones Day and the small boy by his side is my father, together with his four brothers, two sisters, and my grandmother.I have a copy of this photo by A & G Taylor.I suppose that many of these old gentlemen looked alike with bushy beards!!
I seem to have a photo from A. G. Taylor phographer.. that seems to have the same gentleman, the older, seated man on the right, in my photo. I believe it is the great grandfather and his wife. We always thought it was a relative, but are unclear as to who “s relative exactly. I can upload the photo if anyone is interested. I would love to know more about it.
Can anyone date this photograph, my grandfather was called William but he died around 1908 when my father was a baby, and I wondered if this was the same person as I have no knowledge of the family history. My grandmother remarried and the Day family were never talked about.
I have a photo of my grandfather in full scots military uniform a bandsman and on the bottom of the face of the photo it has writen A G Taylor photographer to the queen Circa 1880
I have two portraits Circa 1890 one of my grandfather, Thomas Adams, the other my Grandmother Harriet Adams. They are interesting as they are printed on glass and tinted by hand.
My great grandmother was called Julia Outram. I would be most interested in the pictures and others you might have. md.outram@xtra.co.nz It certainly looks like the family. There were four males and five females. Michael OUTRAM.

I also have an original family group circa 1890 by the same photographer, A & G Taylor. Marvellous family portraits- but such serious expressions.
