Hello Alan Dean, loved your comment about your grandfather riding a penny farthing; you have my curiosity up! Who was your grandfather? & what year are we looking at? You say you were 6yrs old. I”ve been searching for 9yrs for my maternal grandfather John Thomas Dean from Stockton – Born 1888; If any connection here please contact me at gtanner_nf@hotmail.com
My grandfather had a penny farthing which I tried to ride on his garden path at the ripe old age of six – I fell off. My grandafther lived in Allendale Road, Stockton.
