Although the Londonderry Arms has been rebuilt, the outbuilding with the ornate gable end, see on the right of the photo, is still standing. The suggested date of this photo (c.1861) is too early, judging by the design of the bicycles and clothing. Also the local Stockton Cycle Club was not established until 1877. This is more likely to be c.1891.
