  1. According to my mother there was a public house to the left of this school, this would have been to the rear of Littlewoods before the new Wellington Street development was built. Can anyone remember the name of this??

  2. My Father attended this school during the first world war. I sat the second half of my eleven plus examination here. Later in life I enrolled for the HNC engineering course at Stockton-Billingham Technical College in this school. Although the building was a fine example of Victorian architecture I found the inside a cold dark place on the couple of occasions I was in the school. Apart from that I remember the building as an imposing structure and cannot imagine Nelson Terrace without it.
