Taken in Clarence Street, in the old part of Haverton Hill, beyond the Queens Head about 1905. Levys shop was a mens outfitters. In the distance are the brine well derricks and chimneys of Tennants Salt Works. Much of the early phase of housing at Haverton Hill had been built by the salt companies.
My grandad used to live in the streets near the Haverton Hill infants and junior school, think it was the second sreet across from the school. He was called Tommy Walker, wondering if anyone remembers him? Happy Days going to that school.
Don Revie’s grandfather lived there and died at 59 Clarence Street in 1940.
Can anyone tell me how Clarence Street was numbered? My great grandfather Alan Robinson lived in 41 Clarence Street in 1901 where his step father William Todd was the butcher, and he was an assistant butcher with two other assistants.

Could anyone help me? I am looking for a picture of a shop owned by my family in 1897 it was run by J.E.SMALING on 15 Clarence Street, Haverton Hill. The shop was a grocer, draper and general provision merchant. I have been given the last order book from 1897 and the measuring stick they used to measure out the cloth. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.
