Stockton Station, probably in the 1920s/30s

These photographs are of Stockton Railway Station possibly in the 1920s or 1930s. Does anyone have any more information?
Could these pictures illustrate the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth) on the occasion of the Railway Centenary celebrations on 2nd July 1925? A blurry photograph (no 53)in Stockton-on-Tees in Old Picture Postcards by Robin Cook 1985, shows the royal partys departure from the station from the opposite side of Bishopton Lane. (This information was kindly provided by Eric Collins)
This photograph was taken outside of Stockton Station, probably in the 1920s/30s and seems to have been taken from the Queens Hotel. (This information was kindly provided by Colin Secker)

  1. I remember my mam taking me and my brother and sisters to Stockton railway station every Christmas ,as father Christmas used to arrive there by train or so we kids thought. Debenhams used to send a big slay pulled by 2 horses to take him to the store ,so all the kids could go and tell him what we would like for Christmas, good old days.
