I think the farmer is Tom Dixon. He had two sons, Leslie and John. Leslie was the Tractor competition ploughman and John was the Horse competition ploughman. John was married with two sons, his eldest son Norman was my school friend at the Billingham C of E school in the late thirties and early forties. I spent many happy hours around the farm and their surrounding fields. Across the road from the farm, was butcher Allisons house and the Billingham Social Working Mens Club. My father knew all the Dixon”s, as he was born in a house on Billingham Green around the corner from the farm.
