The gentleman’s surname you refer to is Holliday, Bob, not Halliday. There was a Ray Halliday in the Bridgeyard who was captain of the Head Wrightsons football team.
The chap standing in the middle with the light clothing is Frank Halliday. He lives in Norton. He could give you the information you need. A work mate of mine when I was at Head Wrightsons from 1953 – 62 called John Hope was a member then probably 1958ish.
Norton Bowmen seem to have had somewhat of a stop start history. The board in the ‘Cricket Club’ suggests a start date of 1986 although this photograph suggests a much earlier start. Was this because they shot elsewhere? We have recently re-established archery at the Norton Sports trust with the updated (and more inclusive) name of Norton Archers. I would be interested in some more information about the history of archery in Norton to include on our website.
Michael, would you say that could be your Father with just part of his head above the target board? I worked with your Father at Head Wrightsons as a Joiner.
From left to right No1 is Jimmy Robinson No3 is Les Bell No 6 is Frank Holiday My grandfather, Les Bell gave his archery gear to the Green dragon yard museum
Michael Hope. Could that be your father John whose head is just above the target. I worked with your father at Head Wrightsons in the Joiners Shop. When I first saw this photo I tried to see if he was amongst these people.

I believe the man taking the arrow from the target is my late grandfather Les Bell
The one in the middle with the light clothing on and the flat cap is Frank Halliday. Don”t know anyone else. Still see him in the High Street.
