  1. This is the back of the old doctors, this building and the surrounding area is going to be developed soon, to be a new Lidl store and car park. At which point Wharf Street will no longer exist.

  2. I lived in No 8 which must have been opposite your gran. Don’t remember too many names from those times but have vague feeling that people kept themselves to themselves.

  3. My gran mother Eliza Mary Riley lived at 13 Wharf Street I remember going there till I was about 10. My mam Edith and her brother Laurence, Also Sheila and Mary Riley. Then she had to move she fell over on the way to the pub over Victoria Bridge, broke her hip. She had hip replacement. She moved to 9 Cromwell Avenue.
