My great grandparents lived in No. 4, the house in the centre, from when it was new, or almost new – 1910? Three of their children didn”t marry and two were still living at the house in the mid 1980s. My mum was brought up there by her grandparents after her mother”s death. It was rented by the family right through until 1991. They must have paid for that house four times over or more! Angela Jukes – if you ever revisit this site, I can remember Mrs Jukes from next door coming in for a cuppa and chat almost every morning.
