I would say that is Albert Quixall front row second from left a very good inside forward in his day, but would not know what team it is, could be players from Northern teams in the football league at that time they certainly like professional footballers, and note the old boots they are wearing with laces wrapped round the ankles and under the boots.

  2. Albert Quixall later played for Manchester United after the Munich air disaster,he was the blond pin-up boy of the time.

  3. I believe this is a Catterick Garrison team,mainly National Servicemen, who were associated with Football League clubs.
    The match was against Billingham Synthonia on the Belasis Road ground,midweek under floodlights. I played in some of these friendlies. Albert Quixall who played for Sheffield Wednesday and England is second from left on front row
