  1. The Jubilee Cross is often mistaken for the War Memorial – poppy wreathes are laid here on Remembrance Sunday. I”m sure Queen Victoria would have appreciated them, but the correct memorial is in the churchyard at St. Mary”s Church.

  2. Reference the Day Nursery with the Rocking Horse in the window. I believe the house number is 119. I used to take my son there in 1969.

  3. Can anyone remember the private nursery that was in Norton, at the far end of the High Street? I went there in 1965 and all I can remember is the old wooden rocking horse which we all wanted to go on that sat in the bay window. I don”t know whether this will jog anyones memory or if I am talking rubbish
