one of the builders in the photo of alliance st, is of my dad joe thomas, second left in the picture, There was also a film made at the time of the project,which could be in the council archives.
To my mind one of Stockton on Tees great modern characters lived in Alliance Street and that was Michial Kemp an absolute ecentric and a brilliant musician of his day
I lived on Alliance Street for many years and spent many happy hours with my mates kicking a ball up and down the street, much to the annoyance of the neighbours.
