After being brought up on Head Wrightson’s (taken in the pram while my Dad and Grandad played) green this was my next green, and spent many Wednesday nights in my youth playing in league games, and actually winning some!
A lot of the former Head Wrightson’s employees at Thornaby spent their leisure time on this bowling green & the one at Teasdale Park,some of the men were Jack Bell & Maynard(Whipper)Wilson of the Bridgeyard & Fred Hodgson of the Machine Shop.

way back in the thirties my father Edgar Sanderson had a hand in developing the Littleboy grounds.Can anybody give any further information please?
