  1. I started to serve my time as a welder in ’67 at Stockton forge and remember both Colin West (& his brother Eric) and Maurice Alexander.
Some other names that come to mind are welders Bill Furphy, Tommy Monty, Coley Finn, big Andy (cant remember surname), and foremen George ?? Also labourer George Oberon,

  2. I WAS MAURICE ALEXANDERS MATE AT HEAD WRIGHTSONS TILERY WE HAD SOME GREAT TIMES THEN WE BOTH MOVED ON TO DARCHEM STILLINGTON OFTEN WONDER HOW MAURICE IS A BRILLIANT PLATER

  3. This is my father Maurice Alexander (the one without the welding mask) working at Head Wrightson”s Stockton Works in Tilery, fabricating decking for a Bailey Bridge, the other person is unknown.

    • My father Jonny Smith worked at Head Wrightsons, Norton Road as a plater during the 40s,50s and 60s. Does anyone remember him?
