CO-OP fruit and veg store, one of many co-ops in the area that my mother worked in. My mother and father lived above the CO-OP Butchers a few doors away [number 57ish]. My father worked for the CO-OP as a painter and decorator, they also lived above the CO-OP wet fish shop further along Norton road towards Stockton High St, next to Pete”s snack Bar. The other shops she can remember working in are, Wellington St, George St and Havelock St Thornaby, Grangefield, Bishopton Rd, Norton Rd, Billingham, Yarm Rd, Dovecote St. She also worked from the CO-OP fruit and veg warehouse off Wellington St, on the mobile shops, visiting area”s as far afield as the Asylum in Sedgefield.
