This is a group of Durham Light Infantry soldiers (Cap Badge denotes) They could be of the local Battalion the 5th whos HQ was in the old drill hall at the corner of Bath Lane. Looks to be about WW1 period. They appear to be resting on the line of march. The white bags are ration bags.
