  1. The photograph I think was taken off Primrose Hill foot bridge, looking South. I by this time was a Guard at Tees Yard and I used to shunt the yard at Stockton, Watsons coal drops were on the extreme right. The Job was known as the North Stockton Pilot, P76 with a class 31 loco, the train in the photo is what could be a Tyne Yard service, worked Tynesiders, because the loco is a “peak” class 46 not many Thornaby drivers knew them. Stockton was where the Guards classes were held.
