Remembering John Tinning Royal Navy Signals (my uncle) and his friend Clive Stockburn RAF Spitfire Pilot, both of Billingham. Lost five years of their youth fighting the tyranny of the Second World War. They’re gone now but not forgotten.
It is nice to see the old traditions being acknowledged. It is also important to remember all we have today is thanks to many who gave their lives in all wars.
Beautiful pictures the Autumn leaves on the trees! did not recognise the place, Nice to see folk meeting to remember the dead of the worlds conflicts and so pleased that the cenotaph is never touched by the young people of Billingham , it is always respected.
Billingham Remembers – What a beautiful set of pictures at this most poignant time of Remembrance I believe this memorial site also remembers the British Nuclear Test Victims, the stone & tablet to the left in the first photo.
Nice to see local communities remembering!
