Most of this team played football in Newham Grange Park as youths. Billy Goldsmith is the brother of Bobby and is married to Jean who worked in the office of Cunliffe Engineering, Teesside Industrial Estate, Thornaby. Jeff Nolan played for South Thornaby and the Fiesta, he was a top local player.
