My great grandma lived in the house on the left in the mid 1950’s
Her surname was Pettler. The house had one bedroom and a living room with a huge range. The toilets were outside in the communal back yard. Previously she had lived in the lodge at the entrance to the Londonderry estate off the A19 accessed by the layby that would have been the original A19 before the new road

Hello Keith, I was very sorry to hear of Mary’s death. Like you, I have fond memories of my time in Wolviston. Your mum was always one of our favourites.
