I have this photo from my late fathers collection, my father was Bill Charlton and is front row on the left, he was a 19yrs old apprentice bricklayer. I know thats him because I was his double at nineteen and also a bricklayer as was my grandad, Robert Charlton. Joe, I worked with Joe Pearson a bricklayer for many years and a lovely man in the bargain – are you any relation? I am sure there are names on my dads photo I will dig it out from attic and let you know, also have other photos from Haverton/Billingham with my father on building work, will get them on the site. I myself am proud to call myself an Havertonian lad born 31 Durham Avenue though we moved to Billingham in 1941/2 after being bombed out in Haverton during 2nd world war.
