Guardsvans for Thomsons scrap, seen at Stockton station 1976/77.

I remember taking brakevans into North Stockton yard on again P76 the North Stockton Pilot from Tees Yard, on arrival into the yard the loco ran round and placed the vans in the old yard as shown. The most prized and wanted item with these was the the fire stove inside, if one looks at the photo some have chimneys others have not, I bet there is a few allotments in the area with the sheds what have one from them! at Thomson’s scrap yard all they did with them was just to set fire to them to burn the the wood off to get to the metal, a few few times the fire brigade had to be called to the Thomson’s because once set alight they could not control the fire, they went up like match wood.
I guess I’m right in saying that none of the above is still there?
