Actually his name was Malcolm Gilhooley, he was my coousin ans son of my Uncle Bernard Gilhooley. My brother Anthony, ” Tony ” Gilhooley was a couple of years younger but also played for Richard Hind and later ” The Synners “, I used to watch them a lot.
The late Mick Gilhooley the goalkeeper back-row left he later played in the Northern League for Billingham Synthonia and Shildon and played cricket for Norton, back-row 3rd left; the late Alan Atkinson who was the brother of Harold (Big G) and Brian whose father had the Ragworth fish shop, front-row 2nd left is Peter Maclone who lived in Londonderry Road.
My brother Tony Elliott sadly passed away on his birthday 9th October 2023.
