Up on the Roof – Grangefield Grammar School c1940s

This photograph of Grangefield Grammar School taken by my dad, Herbert Bingham in the late 1940’s is of the roof being slated.
I do not know the names of the workmen, but they would have been colleagues of my dad as he also worked as a slater on this job. Maybe someone would know who they are?

Photograph and details courtesy of Peter Bingham.

    • If one knew Mr Bingham the concern was never safety harness or hard hats rather the unpredictable nature of the family dog. When we kids went to see Tot (Pete) Bingham one’s movement were dictated by- did one of the family have hold of Fido. Nice to see the photo it looks like the roof is going onto the Chem lab.
