My Grandad and Gran, Herbert and Annie Marshall at 9 Edgar Street, Norton in 1950. My Grandad was thought to have the only three-wheeled invalid car in the North of England. His disablement went back to the First World War, while fighting with the 2nd Battalion Green Howards at the battle of Ypres.

I can remember as a boy seeing a chap I believe from the old Bolsover Street or Metcalfe Street who used a wheelchair that had 2 big handles on it to propel it around Norton. He would have his Grandson son sitting in the footwell. He later progressed to a motorised one and again his Grandson was laid behind him this time. I would think it would be at the same time as this invalid car but was shaped differently.
It looks like Edgar Street is still standing though with some changes.
