Laughs! Flourescents? By the time the 60’s came around, operators required nightclub ‘atmosphere’ to be as dark,intimate and with as little light as possible. The only fixture reminiscent of a ‘flourescent’ tube by that time were UV (or black-light) tubes
These only highlighted ‘day-glo’ colours, or anything ‘white’….including embarrassing cases of dandruff on individual’s shoulders!
