  1. At a guess I would say that this photo was taken more likely around 1975 because as an apprentice at Fordys I left in 1980, and there was a lot more property’s built on the Glebe by that time than there is on this photo.

  2. Is the date on this photograph correct? When were the houses built on the Glebe Estate? Or have I got all my angles wrong?

    • Dave. The Glebe estate was started in 1969-70 with the showhouses near to Fussicks Bridge. They are where the footpath leads through to the estate from the Ring Road. In 1969 my next door neighbour at that time moved into Kinderton Road.

  3. This is another cracking picture of Teeside from the Chesney family. Could you find out if Squadron Leader Chesney took the pictures?

    • Well Hello indeed, my hunch was correct that is good to know my memory is still pretty accurate. Auntie Ivy Moiser gave me a Gold eternity ring after Fred passed away and I still have it with my prized possessions. They were lovely people and we had some great laughs with them. Fred could always tell a good tale. I had a bad spell two years ago like John, and I was told not to worry over things I cannot do anything about so at 82 I took up model trains again. Thank you for getting in touch again. My love to any of the family still alive and Joan Williamson whose parties I attended as a little boy, Fred Williamson could also make me laugh.
