My uncle, Joe Pickering is second row, fourth from the right photographed with the Stockton Home Guards c 1939 – 1945.

My lovely dad is on the end of the second row (left) Jack Stephens.
My dad is also on this photo on the back row on right.
It turns out that my Granddad IS on that photo after all. He the first one on the left, middle row.
My grandad is the first person on the back row on the left hand side , he was called Jimmy Derbyshire, very proud.
My Granddad Albert Phillips was in the home guard. I wonder if he’s one of them?
My grandad Cyril (Jim) Jones is on the end of the front row (left).
